'Parasnath' is the highest mountain peak in the state of Jharkhad. By direct line of sight on a perfectly clear day with Mount Everest over 450 km away. There is a Jain temple on the mountain peak known as "Svarna Bhadra koot" (cottage of golden grace).
it is a long mountain trek of about 27 kilometer total features paved walking paths combined with various stepped stretches including the climb up. The parasnath hill trek considered moderate to hard, requiring good physical stamina because of the long distance and continuous incline. Trek time duration aprox 7 to 8 hours for one side.
The Santhals call it "Marang Buru" , the hill of the deity. They celebrate a hunting festival on the full moon day in Baisakh.
Nearest Airport is Gaya Airport, Bihar or Durgapur Airport. Rail station is - Parasnath , By road 54 km distance from Bokaro Steel city.
you can also chose bike ride through mountain ridge, its a very risky and unforgettable bike journey through dense foorest and rough terrain.
we visited it two times but we want to visit more more for its own beauty.....
